De Montfort University (DMU) Chapter

De Montfort University located in the middle-eastern area of England, Leicester city, which as the most ethnically diverse city in UK, the culture experiencing is quite unique and influential. A powerful and dynamic sprit spread all over the campus and the city, making a real culture melting pot.

In 2012, February, as the first station of Her Majesty university tour, one footwear design major student was chosen to make shoes for Duchess of Cambridge. Moreover, art department in DMU has also received the praise from shoe guru Jimmy Choo and have him host a masterclass for students. In 2015, the Leicester castle hall has been leased by Sun Wah group and donated to DMU to build up a new international business school in the prospective of first class business school globally.

Amongst previous notable alumni, in the fields of political, business, arts and design, sports, DMU alumni participate everywhere in UK. A culture melting pot environment would give members of GYLN more motive and power and help improving participance in community.
